Up until recently, Roku had carved itself out a unique niche with regard to streaming adult content. That’s because they allowed developers to create non-certified channels also known as private or secret channels. These private channels allowed adult websites to create non-certified channels that worked on Roku devices. All you had to do was log in to your Roku account, enter the noncertified channel code, and then add the channel to your device.
However, Roku decided to eliminate the non-certified channel program in early 2022. As a result, adult channels are no longer available for Roku devices because Roku doesn’t allow adult content in the Roku channel store. At least at the moment.
So what are our options for watching porn on Roku devices? The most obvious choice for streaming adult content is to purchase an Amazon fire TV or Chromecast With Google TV device. Then you are free to donate your Roku device to the trash can. After all, using a Chromecast With Google TV device or an android TV box will allow you to download one of the many adult android applications that are available online.
The same option applies to Amazon devices also. Although porn applications are not allowed in the Amazon App Store. There are still plenty of third-party applications available that you can sideload onto your devices.
If for some reason you’re stuck with your Roku device don’t panic. There’s still hope. Although you can’t install adult channels from the Roku channel score anymore you can still use your Roku device to watch adult content on the big screen. In a nutshell, all you’d have to do is pull up the adult content on your smartphone or computer and then cast it to your Roku device.
